BC DUI Lawyers is a client-connection service operated by Lawyer Central, a marketing and intake company working under contract with the criminal defence law firm What The Law. We are not a law firm. Our small staff take your details, pass them to the firm, and arrange a callback from counsel. This policy explains how we handle your information while doing that job.
What you send us. When you use the case-review form or callback widget, we collect what you type: your name, phone number, your city or town, email address, and a short description of what happened. When you call, we collect your phone number and whatever you tell the person who answers.
What arrives automatically. Like nearly every website, our server keeps standard logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and when. After you submit the form, your first name appears briefly in the page address so our thank-you page can greet you; page addresses can appear in those same routine logs.
What we don't collect. No accounts, no passwords, no payment details — nothing is bought or sold on this website.
By submitting the form or calling, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure described here, as provided by British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
This website uses only the minimal cookies needed to function.
Form submissions are delivered to our email and stored with our website and email providers. We keep inquiry records for up to 24 months, then delete them. Unless you become a client of the firm, in which case the firm's own retention obligations apply. We protect what we hold with access limited to the people named above.
Under PIPA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent (which may mean we can no longer arrange the review you asked for). Start with our privacy contact below and we will respond within 30 days.
Our designated privacy contact under PIPA is: privacy@bcduilawyers.com. Write "Privacy" in the subject line and we'll take it from there.
